Matthew Bolton

Rod is a retired California Highway Patrol Officer. He has worked for Adlerhorst since 2016 serving as a detection instructor for explosive and narcotic K9’s. He currently works the monthly narcotic and explosive maintenance classes and annual certifications for Northern California.
Matthew Bolton retired from the Orange County Probation Department after 28 years of service. Matt and his K9 partner Christa were teamed up for 10years. Christa was a cross trained Dutch Shepherd. Concentering primarily on narcotics searches. Matt and Christa conducted several thousand narcotic searches during Christa’s career. In addition to being a K9 handler Matt was an instructor at the Orange County Probation Office Academy. Matt was also his department’s subject matter expert on Probation Search and Seizure policy and procedure.
