I started working with dogs in 2004, when I attended Military Working Dog School at Lackland Air Base. A few months later I deployed to Afghanistan with my MWD. My main task was to work the baggage line for incoming and outgoing flights with my MWD. I have handled patrol/detection dogs for 16 years.

Rick has over 31 years of law enforcement experience. He retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in 2015 as a Sergeant. He was a K-9 handler for 9 years. Marty is a retired Sergeant with the Arizona Department of Public Safety. He spent seventeen years assigned to the canine unit where he served as a handler, trainer and training supervisor. He has worked for Adlerhorst since 2017 and currently conducts the monthly maintenance training and annual certifications for patrol in Northern California.
