Rick brings over 31 years of law enforcement experience to Adlerhorst. He retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in 2015 as a Sergeant, having served as a K-9 handler for 9 years. His K-9 was expertly trained in both apprehension and narcotics detection. Additionally, Rick served as the department’s K-9 Sergeant for 5 years.

Rick joined Adlerhorst in 2015, assisting with monthly training sessions both at Adlerhorst and for several agencies in central California. He currently supports the Basic Handlers course and annual re-certification programs. Rick is also a certified apprehension instructor, bringing his extensive expertise and dedication to the training and development of K-9 teams.
