Kristina Cortes started her law enforcement career in 2015 with the Long Beach Police Department. In 2019 she lateraled to the Chino Police Department where she started working with the K9 Unit. In 2020 she began her career as a K9 handler with her partner Halina. They completed their basic academy and in 2021 they became a dual purpose team by completing their detection certification. Since then she has been working as an intern with Adlerhorst as a detection instructor
